HOLDS CONDITION survey

A Condition Survey is conducted to inspect and document the current state of a vessel’s loading gear, cargo holds, hatch covers, main deck, and cargo working areas. This visual inspection aims to identify any existing damage prior to the vessel going on-hire or off-hire, serving as a reference point for the parties involved.

Our goal is to provide clear, impartial, and accurate reporting to support our clients in making informed operational and commercial decisions.

The survey is carried out by MCE Marine Surveyors B.V., and upon completion, a detailed report is issued, outlining the observed condition of the inspected areas. Where applicable, the survey findings are compared against the results of any previous condition surveys performed on the same vessel. This comparison helps determine whether any new damage has occurred during the charter period or cargo operations.
